At Sumiyaki Kaminari, we have been sharing the rich flavors of charcoal-grilled yakitori with guests in Hiroshima for nearly half a century.
Our name, Kaminari, means “thunder” in Japanese. Traditionally associated with abundant harvests, thunder symbolizes our wish to bring prosperity and happiness to everyone who visits.
What makes our yakitori special is our traditional grilling technique. Rather than placing the skewers directly over the flames, our chefs carefully grill them using the radiant heat of high-quality charcoal. This technique brings out the natural flavor of the chicken while creating a beautifully grilled exterior.
Another signature of Kaminari is our secret sauce, carefully maintained and replenished over generations, developing a distinctive depth of flavor.
